Before coming to Mundelein last season, Coach Scheuers played point guard at the collegiate level for Trine University. Following his playing career, he immediately transitioned into coaching, spending time on the coaching staff at his alma mater, and later head coaching at both Earlham College and Thomas College.

Now serving as the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Mundelein High School, Coach Scheuers is dedicated to building a culture centered on toughness, accountability, and player development. His collegiate playing and coaching experience provides Mustang student-athletes with the opportunity to learn from a coach who is passionate about practicing & teaching the nuances of the game.

After graduating from Mundelein High School in 2005, Coach Tiepel went on to play Division I Basketball at Western Illinois University. After her collegiate basketball career, she both taught and coached at Dundee-Crown High School for 9 years, earning 4 regional titles, 1 sectional title, and 1 sectional championship along the way.

Now in her 5th year coaching Girls Varsity Basketball at MHS, Coach Tiepel led the Mustangs to a school-record 21 wins last season, the most since 2009.
